10 years, 15 seems gratuitous. I have no idea how you'd be able to fit everything on one page if you're going back that far.
2 pages not 1.

Like most things in recruiting, it's not black and white.
10 years is a good amount of experience to put on your resume unless you've spent 8 years with the same company - that's a tiny resume lol
15 years is overkill - unless you've worked with 3 different companies and you've had achievements that are directly related to the new role you're interested in.
I would say base your choice on the needs of the role, and the companies and titles you've had - don't try to stick to an arbitrary number just because.
Lastly, if you're also concerned about resume length, don't try to jam pack everything into 1 page - unless it accurately covers everything that job needs and showcases your impact. Two pages is JUST fine. It's about content, not length.
10 years
It depends on the role. 10 yrs is a good balance as many have said, but I had a long term company that goes back more than that. I go almost 20 to show progress and promo.
Would say 10 years is the standard, if you are going to go back further, probably have a good reason to do so. If the older 15+ experience provides some context or maybe you are explaining a career shift. Personally I don’t have much to show from over 10 years ago, so not something I’d be adding anyways.
Unless a VP role or govt LCAT anything more than 10 years is overkill.
I’ve heard both too! Personally, I stick to 10 years unless something older is really relevant to the role I’m applying for. I try to keep it focused and easy to skim, less is more unless that past experience truly adds value.
I’ve always heard go back 10 years if it’s relevant experience cut it off when it’s not relevant I’ve never heard anybody say 15 years unless it maybe really relevant to your job but I mean even 10 years anything you would have done 10 years ago was pretty much out of date by now
