How have you been navigating your spending cost with inflation rising these last years? For me, I’ve cut back on any subscriptions that I am not using. That has saved me a lot of money and now I can use that money for things I need.

Subscriptions absolutely, I had way too many of them, period. Also food. Still like to eat out on occasion, but prefer to have one really nice meal instead of a couple of fast food pickups for basically the same price!

Yea… I didn’t know how much subscription I had until I cancelled them. That’s how a lot of these companies get us. I try to cook at home as much as possible because it’s expensive eating out everyday. I’m glad I have self control.

Yea, the sneak up on you when the payment is due and you see how much money you’ve been throwing away. I’m glad you’ve cut down on them. I seen so many people pay 100s of dollars on subscriptions. It’s really crazy but that cool that you are thrifting digital media.

CCTC: 15.25 fixed (JPMC) + 10% Bonus (Not a part of CTC)

Got an offer from @IBM ISL

Role : Senior Software Engineer

Offered CTC : 22.5 fixed +2.5 JB

Is it a fair amount for 8.5 YOE? Should he negotiate further. As this is his first offer , should he keep trying for better salary?

In salary breakup of Bosch apart from total CTC, another payable amount is mentioned under 'NPS optional- Company Contribution'. What does this optional means? And whether this NPS amount is on the top of the offered CTC or will they adjusted it with some other component mentioned under fixed salary?
