That's a really hard question to answer. Deloitte is huge so it depends on what you're doing there, the project you're on, etc. When I was at Deloitte, I rarely worked more than 45 hours a week and most of the time it was 40. However, I had friends there that were constantly pulling 50+ hour weeks.
It depends on the project but I would count working at least solid 45 hours
I had a pretty bad experience……Our whole team was over worked and had lot of pressure on hours!
I’m in a GPS Federal project, been here 4 years have worked over 45 maybe 2-3 times in that period. Off at 5 every day, usually on at 8:30. All dependent on Project though
Depends on project and team you work with . But if WLB is a priority then think twice because it’s not constant . I mean projects change , teams change , things become very busy very fast. Also firm initiatives are baked in expectations . Big tech has better wlb but often (much) lower base salaries .

Yes but despite that overall big tech pays more than consulting….that’s a known thing. Unless you hit partner level.
I used to work for a firm where I had to manage audits independently and that could be 4 engagements simultaneously. I have maximum of 3 audits engagements in Deloitte but the fact that we work in large teams helps me work effectively without having to work 17 hours a day unless I am staffed on listed clients
My experience has been around 50 hours per week in the Big 4. I’m surprised to see people say 40 or 45. Might depend on area within the firm.
