Yes they can definitely help you get referrals to other companies. If you leave on good terms and are a good performer you will always have that network to fall back on. I have also seen partner and senior managers help find a place for PwC employees that are ready for a career change. My local market team keeps a listing of open positions at clients.

EY calls them boomerangs and they are generally accepted back if 1) they left on good terms and 2) they didn’t go to work directly in competition eight their old practice and now want to go back to it. I have heard of a couple of people who have left to go into industry and then came back to a different position.

it’s just easier for you to come back. but would u want to?

i think he was just curious why you left but asked in a rude way. He’s an SM. probably has a lot of pressure

Not my fault he couldn’t handle pressure nor possessing normal level communication skill

Not in your network but I can refer you to D :)

Hi Everyone- I’m going solo soon after four years of being GC. Our company was sold to private equity so there wasn’t really much of a place for a GC anymore. I figured I would fulfill my lifelong dream of opening my own practice. ANYHOW- I have business and employment set up as my primary fields, but I’m curious what fields are fun, that would really lend themselves to solo work, or just be interesting to practice in. Thanks!

We are great thought partners and that’s why our client deliverables are so great.

20 year road warrior here. My wife & I made it work through teamwork & commitment. My weekends were spent at home. Doing family things.

I know a guy who (pre COVID) traveled every week, yet found time to do 200 mile weekend biking trips with his ‘crew’. Almost every weekend.

His family vacations always seemed to include a 500 mile bike race or some other extreme event.

He is now doing this in Europe (according to IG).
