Not in NYC but moved to California and yeah noticed that when there are too many options, it seems like people just run amok.
But still, I feel like this is more a sign of the times than a regional thing.
That being said, I would much rather be gay in NYC or California than anyplace else in the world 💅
Horribly superficial. If you’re not white, with a six pack, and under 30, you’re very much a second class citizen.
Gotcha. Sorry to hear you still go through that P1! I’m a fellow gay POC so I thought at least money would help more but guess not.
It is easy to get a date, but hard to keep them. Everyone is looking for a better option. This isn't just about number of choices locally, it is the culture of NYC.
I met my partner when we were both 24 and now we’re engaged 8 years later. I wasn’t even looking for “the one” yet but we never stopped being together and here we are. I had dated casually a lot for 3 years so I don’t know if I missed out on having a busy dating life throughout my 20s, but it ended up great for us—and now I guess we’re approaching “old gay death”…
I just turned 44 and now get looks like somebody wants to gift me a rideshare to the closest funeral home to plan my funeral anytime I am asked my age.............only 16 more years to retirement, so there is that!
It’s not that easy in Europe either. If you’re attractive you are also essentially treated like a piece of meat and it can be dehumanising if you’re looking for something genuine.
Ehhhhh, it depends where in Europe. If we’re talking about Germany or France, maybe, but the UK has some pretty shallow guys. Not everyone is, but it’s definitely a culture thing.
Well, it’s the same in 2 tire cities too! No one wants to give time
I would love to date you Long term, but we need to speak and meet, also I'm in san diego California!
