Home Depot’s typically take them
Yep, I always take mine to Home Depot too!! Not sure if that's a thing in other cities but my yard bin won't fit my tree so I always drop it off at Home Depot
I've seen people in my neighborhood leave them curbside and the city trucks pick them up. I don't know if they recycle them, however. Home Depot mulches them, and I think there are civic groups that also turn them into compost.
If you’re not living in the city the neighbors always just had a bonfire with them…
This is me. I live on 11 acres, 75 miles from “home office” in ATL. Spent 18 years in the burbs and glad to be out, back home doing all the rural things.

We have a fake one now, but before moving here there used to be a farm in our area that would take them. Might be something like that around, haven’t looked since moving here. Speaking of which, aside from the tree, anyone starting to take the decorations down?
I think there are a tree services that’ll come to your home because my neighbors will haul their trees out to their front yard towards the curb and someone comes to pick them up. I don’t know how much that cost or see if we can toss a bonfire I know it’s not easy to put a tree in the truck yourself so good luck with that that’s why I buy a fake one.
