Hi Infosys guys, I have cleared one technical interview and got email for further round which is planned for tomorrow. Email mentions that this is a telephonic interview, is this supposed to be an HR round discussing salary or another tech round.
SAP SD - 2 YOE Current CTC is 4.8LPA.
how much should I ask at infy? Position offered is associate consultant. Thanks in advance.

I'm serving notice period in TCS and my last day is in 2 weeks. I requested for pickup of laptop in the portal but I came to know that it will take time for pickup and I won't be available if they come late. So I decided to go to office and surrender the laptop as I'm in the location of office only. Only ₹27 LPA with 8 years of experience? That's extremely concerning.
I'm honestly surprised you've managed to survive this long. By the 15th of every month, your bank account must be entering conservation mode. Forget investments, at this salary I'm assuming you've already optimized your lifestyle to the point where every meal is a cost-benefit analysis.
My recommendation is to buy 45 packets of Maggi at the beginning of each month (15 days × 3 meals). Even D-Mart margins might be too expensive, so try negotiating directly with the manufacturer for bulk rates.
Also consider:
- Cancelling all streaming subscriptions.
- Reusing tea bags for maximum ROI.
- Turning off the refrigerator at night to save electricity.
- Using office Wi-Fi as your primary internet provider.
- Scheduling all mobile charging during office hours.
- Attending every corporate event for the free snacks.
On a serious note, if ₹27 LPA with 8 YOE is making you wonder how to survive, then no package on earth is going to be enough.
But yes, to be safe, keep switching every year. After all, happiness is always exactly one offer letter away.
But be ready to get whooped away by HR when AI or layoff to be done, as you will be at higher package.
