How long do cover letters need to be? This is my first time trying to write one and I’m a little lost. Does this letter need to be a full page long?

Does anyone else struggle with billing? I find myself working 12+ hour days and yet my actual hours are pretty modest. Seems like I’m losing most of my time on correspondence because I’ll forget to start a timer when I read/respond to emails.
