I just got an email from a recruiter from Google!

He said that the position is in the Bay Area or New York. I haven’t replied the email. I don’t think we can move to those cities, but I don’t want to lose this opportunity. Does anyone know if Google does remote jobs within US?

Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.

Exempt employees are not entitled to paid overtime unless the employer chooses to give it to you in a flat sum, bonus or time and a half. So it can honestly vary from being a time and a half to nothing.
Yes. We have to get the hours approved before we begin OT, and it has to be a minimum of 5 hours that week to be compensated . It’s also paid at your normal hourly rate (not time-and-a-half).
I work about 55 hours a week and do not receive OT. But if I miss a few days for illness or whatever I still get paid for it.
I get time and a 1/2 for overtime.
I get my straight hourly wage for any billable hours over 40
My company gives straight time overtime up to a certain pay grade. On avg, I probably work 2 hours OT, but deadline weeks can be up 60 hours, especially when we’re short staffed.
I get straight time if utilization is over 85%. I usually work around 50h, but don’t get over the 85% threshold every week.
