How much do firms care about grades for post clerkship recruiting? I’ve secured a clerkship at a specialized state business court and was on the Law Review at my t20 school. If I have a below median (3.2ish) GPA, would I still be cooked or would they actually value my clerkship experience over my grades? I’m planning on applying to some firms that have historically taken people with GPAs lower than mine per OCI data but I want to know how much of an “added” cushion a clerkship can provide. Thx!

Which court? Generally state court clerkships aren’t viewed as prestigiously as federal courts. The exception is the Delaware chancery court.

Big law firm? That’s a tough nut to crack if you didn’t summer at one. Your clerkship sounds very specialized and non-federal. It’ll be an uphill battle.

Depends on the firm and what practice you’re applying to. Generally, BigLaw firms will likely ding you because of your grades. But maybe not if you’re applying to a special practice group as a result of your clerkship. I think you would have more success at boutique firms who have a track-record of taking clerks.

Has anyone quit their job because of a relationship? I started my job 3 months ago and now my employer wants me to move to NY. I would honestly quit my job and wouldn't mind the job search again.

I’m doing my first UX portfolio on Wix. I have the case studies content drafted out, but I’m struggling with brainstorming wireframes/actual UI for my case studies. I make it a rule to look for dribbble/behance for inspo but only sketch when im not looking at things because I don’t want to copy directly.

I’ve tried using paper/thin markers highlighters, tried using procreate, and also illustrator/photoshop & a tablet. I keep running into issues where I feel overwhelmed. How do I simplify this?

I used to have a fitbit. Really liked a lot of its features. Like the reminder to move and the competition within the app (games and competitionvs friends). However, whenever I was at work I'd find myself taking it off for more comfortable typing and then forgetting it during the day. Now that I'm back at work I'm sitting more and need to move. I was thinking of getting an oura ring. Does anyone have one? Any thoughts as to which is better?

Need advice on a specific question!
Interviewed with Chicago court 2 weeks ago; they decide mid-August. Interviewed with DC judge last week; hear from him by this Friday. Chicago said if I need an answer before August, they'd try to make a decision about me sooner.
Should I ask Chicago for an answer? Or should I wait until there's an offer from DC judge? Maybe seems better to withdraw before an offer is made rather than ask for time to think about it/turn down DC? What's proper etiquette?
