How much time are you allowing yourself to sleep or rest each day? I heard that if you give yourself 10 hours a day to rest, you'll be better able to resist burnout. But who has 10 free hours in their day?

I have been in an awkward reporting structure for 2.5 years. On record I’ve reported to the VP of Marketing, who was crazy toxic, and technologically inept. I’m a senior website manage and she had no interest in my role. She shirked me off to also report to her two directors, PR and Call Center. Needless to say, that’s been a difficult situation for me. She’s gone and the new VP starts tomorrow. Any guidance on how to ensure this ends with the incumbent VP?

Got laid off. Have savings to hold me until I find a new position but mostly I'm just embarrassed. Has anyone ever gotten laid off and not told their friends/partner about it? I just don't want people in my circle to know I failed basically.
