I'm wanting to know what people think is better. Kaiser or ucla health for working as an admin staff. Ucla seems to have good pay from what I see on the job descriptions but kaiser only shows pay grade. Ucla has pension and a raise it seems every year. But I was alao told kaiser offers a dollar each year as a raise. I want a place I can grown and stsy Long term. Any one have any insight on kaiser and what they offered.UCLA Health Kaiser Permanente
Hi all, does anyone know of any recruiters or hiring managers that work in Affirm Inc. I've been applying for a couple of jobs with them . The role I have applied for I know lam a extraordinary fit for
100% and can help the company/ department succeed. I have a good deal of experience with this role and would love to talk to a recruiter or a hiring manager more about this. If anyone
could reach out to me if you have any information on that I would greatly appreciate it.

Depends who. Internal people know my title. External vendors and older clients, constantly. My favorite is when they ask to speak to "the girl who handles scheduling." That one's fun.

Only once by a man in his upper 80s who didn't understand the difference. He was shocked when I told him when I actually did. He also wasn't even related to my work or my field, he just happened to be my doctor who was asking me what I did for a living. He replied something along the lines of, why do people feel they need to make up fancy titles for what they do. But as usual, I'm not silent about educating people on my job.
How ironic that a doctor is complaining about someone else being specific about their job title. Try calling a male doctor "Mr." sometime and watch the fireworks.
Right? Or Operations positions are not administrative assistance. I not only helped my department three other departments and maintained my manager and my assistant manager by keeping them on task. How is that not a administrative assistant?
As a secretary/administratior for decades, I don't really care because I found that depending on the state I lived in (military family), the type of business and the age of the company it was all relative. Sometimes just a holdover title. As a high level Admin, a co-worker put a sign on my office door "secretary of labor & treasury" when I was in payroll. 40+ years, I just roll with it unless it being derogatory.
Depends on the age of the person. Older people often use "secretary" instead of "administrative assistant".
