It’s so nice that every agency laying off people, have those left standing (and other agencies) trying to hustle jobs for their unemployed friends, but there are also a ton of people who were unemployed prior to Covid...so no severance, job hunting lot longer, and not earning income for longer time...hurting even MORE due to quarantine.

Like I’m sure many of you, I’m tired of the word “empower.” But the thesaurus isn’t really giving me anything that feels right. Have you seen any unique or more authentic alternatives?

If you are an immigrant and people ask you where you are from, how do you usually respond?

Been with company for 2.5 years in a SFA role, and they just let me hire an associate financial analyst reporting into me. My manager never mentioned anything in regards to a promotion, but when I asked, I was told that there will be an evaluation period before any promotion is given. Has anyone else had this before, where you are managing someone but they don’t give you a promotion? Sounds bizarre to me that they allow me to hire someone but then are hesitant to promote.

Does LTI change joining date , my issue is my notice period is 30 days remaining but due to some dependency it may be extended 10 to 15 days. What can I do in this situation ?
