You can have a mix of strategic to hands on during a career with us. We work with many different sized companies from mid-market to large utilities.
I lead our Cyber practice and we are growing quickly. Feel free to ping me here or on LinkedIn.
D4, where are you located? I have people on my team in NYC, Seattle, San Francisco, and Chicago. Also open to Dallas and LA.
You're sick of PMs calling themselves cyber consultants? Thought it was just me.
I wear that badge proudly
Mandiant, Crowdstrike, etc. I wouldn't look very hard at big 4 for real hands on technical stuff.
CS1, could be rephrased as “you don’t have of the things our company sells, you should buy some”doesn’t sound that technical to me...nor that strategic.
I'm searching as well. Already got burnt out from it a EY, now here. All I want to do is be the equivalent of a Solution Engineer / Architect at multiple companies. I'm in CMA assessment hell now.
A1 reach out to the S&G Strategy lead, he'll work with you.
K2 same. There is a lot of help needed in current security architecture projects that might help you feel more engaged and delivering in line with skillsets.
Well most of the big 4 isn’t technical in my opinion. I have people I know at the big 4 and they all create a PowerPoint deck on how to configure a firewall and protect against a ddos but I know if they were ever on the front lines of a ddos attack they have no idea what to do.
You up for knowledge sharing at Deloitte? Is there any staff that want to learn?
Mandiant
Does Mandiant have roles for people with network security backgrounds, and are their salaries competitive? I was looking and found primarily IR positions.
Having come from a big 4 get your point. Would consider Accenture as well. More about implementing/ building capabilities than just advising / consulting. The size and scale helps as well.
what group is this in EY and what type of work is it?
Lol
Mentor
We have a small army of red team members. Does that count as technical ? Also we implement all day
Mentor
Yup. We bought so many IR and red teams in the past 2 years it’s kinda crazy. Also every pen tester is required to pass oscp or equivalent.
