I am never guilty for going to bed early; I always tell my seventh graders that I don’t want to be a grumpy teacher!
Rising Star
My daughter is convinced that i am now an old person because I went to be at 8:30 the other night, but I think I'm going to top that tonight- I'm fixing to go to bed in a few minutes.
I always go to bed between 8:30-9. Year round. I can ‘t wait to go to sleep most nights. I don’t care if it Saturday, sunny, a full moon, or vacation. It is like a switch is flipped at 8:30 and I am done. I do get up early - 5:30 every day year round.
Rising Star
During the summer or on the weekends, I usually stay up a little later than I do on the week nights
Never feel guilty for taking care of yourself. I go to bed every night at 8:30 whether I'm done with school work or not. Otherwise I'm useless the next day.

Y'all making me feel better about my need to go to sleep earlier.
Never feel guilty for going to bed early. In fact, that's extra rest for you, and you'll feel so much better the next morning! Our bodies always deserve the extra rest!!!

Thank you. I'm thinking I may also be needing to get my B12 shot
In fact, I am sometimes in my pajamas by 7PM! I do wake up at 5AM and let my students know that I will reply to their emails early in the morning rather than late at night.
Rising Star
I usually get up around 5:30ish. Lately I've been getting up closer to 5:45.
There are not more hours in Daylight Savings! It just makes it darker in the morning and lighter at night. It is sad that as a teacher you think the days are longer.
Rising Star
Not longer days, just a longer time of daylight! Some grounding might be beneficial to some people. I find that when I am feeling snarky it is beneficial to stand outside, take off my shoes, and stand in the grass, close my eyes and soak in the sun. 😃. It kind of helps too when mean-spirited people flood the world with venom.
I love the longer period of daylight! I get sad when it is dark outside. Last night II was so excited to be in bed earlier than normal. I felt like I was making positive life choices.
Rising Star
I also, do not like it when it gets dark early.
I have been having the problem of staying up too late with the sun staying out longer. It's messing up my normal rhythm.
