Big law specialist with an offer to be the CFO and GC of a 250M AUM hedge fund. All in comp would probably be ~$300k, so about $100k less than where I would be in big law (including bonus). Currently our marketing team is of one (me) and we outsource quite a bit of other tasks as we continue to grow. I joined EY in January. Had no work all of January, but was busy for February and some of March. I have been unassigned for about 4 weeks now, sending availability emails to all of the service lines we are allowed to reach out to for work. I should not have come here 🤦🏼‍♂️ I know it’s nice to have some down-time, but when every day is staring at a computer, the days are SO long.
