Nervous to make industry jump bc I’m not an excel wiz. Obviously depends on the role but curious if anyone else in a similar situation?

There are some pretty legit excel courses. Look into ExcelCEO. There’s a big course that’s super pricey (like 1k), but there are also free tutorials out there for vlookups, pivots, etc. The guy who teaches it is very effective and it’s well worth the investment to become an Excel wiz.

There’s also free stuff online if you’re ready to teach yourself. I have googled a lot of what I know in Excel and would say I’m intermediate/advanced at this point.

Hey everyone - I could do with some advice. Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I am having a hard time getting interview calls. I am trying to pivot from consulting to the industry and targeting project/program management roles. I have been doing this work for 7+ years now (total YOE 12 years) so certainly have the right skillset. I have tried a couple of referrals too but that didn’t help either. Any advice you guys could provide would be helpful. Thanks!

I need suggestions. I have 2 years of experience in IT as ASE. I am getting calls when I apply for the job opportunity from MNC but being a fresher and not having any experience in the Design field, they do not proceed with the hiring process. I have done Masters in Design (2021 passout)
Any suggestions would help how I can get into a good paying company as a fresher in Design.
Thankyou ✌️

Question on UK visa-
My partner will be traveling often to London, once a month for an year starting September. He is getting his visa through work (10 years, multiple entry, 6 months max stay, cost some $1000).

I have applied for standard tourist visa in the past and they are usually short term. It could be max 6 months, but they see your itinerary and allocate you few months around the itinerary

Is there a way to get 6 months multiple entry visa, if I were to join him once in a while.

Making a lot of money relative to the average but feeling poor? Median after-tax income was ~$55,000 in 1981 and was ~$73,000 in 2020. Using a Bank of Canada inflation calculator $55,000 in 1981 is equivalent to ~$165,000 today, which would put someone in the top 10% of earners today. But in 1981 the median family had that extra money. Who can I blame?

With inflation and rent going up I’m considering moving 3 hours away where rent is half the cost I’m paying now.
