I am working in a new role with my company, and it is a short-term assignment for 10 months. We were told that we will be notified if they are making it permanent or not, but I have not heard anything so far, even though I asked them about this too. Sometimes I am worried that I may have to take my old role again, which I don’t want. Should I ask them again, or maybe they have made their decision already but just aren’t letting me know about it? What do you think?

Today I learned a new thing. One candidate was referred by a colleague of mine in the system. He got selected and offer letter rolled out.

When he checked the system he realized the referral was not taken and the background system captured it as direct hire.

So my friend is not going to get any referral incentive.
