I need a job and I need it NOW
Yes I do
These helped me in my last job search:
-Lots of places use resume scanning software to match applicants with the job description. Think matching up with keywords and phrases. If your resume doesn’t do this, it won’t even make it to the consideration pile. And yes, it’s a lot of work upfront to apply for one job. But the care you put in will pay off, IMHO.
-Find out who the hiring manager is (LinkedIn is good for this) and message them directly. When you do, give them a great reason to continue the conversation.
-Consider some sort of self promotional piece that can be sent to hiring manger or CD.
-Reach out to all of your contacts again via LinkedIn and let them know you’re looking for freelance or full-time.
Hope this helps.
