The second trimester is the “party trimester” lol. Hopefully things will look up!
Weeks 18-24 are usually decent weeks. Sorry you are struggling.
You can look into STD or WFH accommodations if one of your providers are willing to do the paperwork to state the need. Keep in mind it doesn’t have to be an MD or nurse (although probably easier), can be a therapist etc.
Hang in there mama. I got STD like a week before my due date and a few weeks after my mat leave ended because I was having a hard time. Then fought for WFH accommodations..until I eventually quit (second pregnancy) because of their lack of support was making things harder for me. I hope you can get what you need!
Oh also get your ferritin checked! Not everyone checks this and just focus on cbc but my iron was so low I ended up asking for referral to get iron infusions which helped my energy. The iron pills don’t always work and I didn’t have time in third tri to gamble on benefits before labor.
PwC lets you go out 2 weeks before your scheduled due date (or induction date). I know that’s not enough for you—but better than most companies. Good luck!
It’s brutal but it does let up generally in the second trimester. Just tell your team you are sick, take sick days, nap when you can. And hopefully soon it won’t be as bad
