That sounds uncomfortable. This is going to sound harsh, but that is not my intent. (Imagine I am speaking to you in a gentle voice- because that is how I really mean it.)
My advice to you is to own your mistakes, especially if you had already been told/shown what to do. Your supervisor is expecting their staff to be adults who pay attention and do their best work. No excuses. Apologize for the incorrect work, then work hard during your probation to show that you take your job seriously and care about doing it right. Demonstrate your professionalism and maturity by rising to the challenge, accepting responsibility, and making yourself better by learning from the experience. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes, so learn from it and move forward. Don’t waste time feeling sorry for yourself or blaming others. Rise above it. You got this! Don’t dwell on the mistake too long. Rise above it and be the awesome teacher and employee that you are.

So you have a detailed list of expectations of your duties. I still would think that it is the responsibility of a supervisor to clearly state expectations.

Right, and I was really frustrated because one of the things she mentioned wasn't on any of the cleaning lists!
