Say something to whom? To your boss so you look like a whiny baby? No. To your colleague who either did it by accident (one-off) or who is a committed dbag (will do this again and again)? No. In first case, no upside, in second case, they won't change, no upside. Instead, get better at the game. Some folks might think this is an unenlightened view; I think it's a realistic view in an unenlightened world.
Experienced the same thing years ago. No personal value in calling it out. Document with dated thoughts in your work journal.
I now look at everyone differently. Yes, we are all on the same team, but do I share/pitch my great thoughts with my team members??? Hell NO!
Only in meetings with others present, and usually the boss is present.
Can maybe just not work with that person or share ideas with them.
Next step is maybe trash them behind their back or privately tell other people they are a POS and why. Just light up a their reputation. Get someone else to say something bad about him and then tell a bunch of other people that’s what you heard about him.
A1: While not working/sharing ideas is a possible valid avenue, this isn’t fucking high school.
Say something now. If you don’t, they’ll do it again—and everyone will assume you’re fine being invisible.
Send email to partner summarizing the idea you had and maybe elaborate on it and how you came up with the idea and offer to help in any way since it was your idea.
This feels like AI. IS IT? I have never used this app/ website. Also the answer is tell you're boss before the meeting next time and get him to ask the other person questions only you would know the answer too. Best of luck!
If ai I can't say what inwouod like to answer your question that should be enough.
