I’m also looking for 3D artists and Pixel artists. Thank you for spreading the word.

Do you know the budget for this?

No, also this is not a classical company. The base would depend on what kind of work the individual is doing including the cadence (e.g., Contract work vs being on payroll part time).

Hello!

I am being tapped to translate documents at work. I’ve done spot translation audits, and 1 larger Quality assurance document earlier this year, but was recently contacted about a potential large-scale translation initiative for next year.

Has anyone been compensated for these sorts of projects that would be “out of scope” for their role? How do you go about asking for compensation? Have any of you spun out and created translation service side-gigs?

For anyone interested in exiting to startups, I recently created Startupon, a weekly newsletter dedicated to helping people find exciting startups and technology companies to join.

In the newsletter I’ll dive into interesting companies and answer questions like, “how should I think about early stage vs growth stage startups”?

How do the big 4 look upon LLC’s and their employees starting a business on the side as long as it was disclosed?

I am considering investing in an early stage startup. I know the founders for many years and are more like family to me. I will be investing $100K with a convertible note. What should be the equity that I should be drawing out? I don’t want to draw just the fair amount so the company is not at a disadvantage when they eventually raise money outside of F&F. They are valued at $5M by a startup accelerator and received $50K as part of being admitted into the program. Contd.

So, I just joined a startup. No processes, no clear strategy, just one goal: selling. Getting leads. When ever I try to build a strategy, they (founders) swamp me with blablabla stories and not a single action plan. Is this the usual at startups? Also,no real company culture. At all. No HR. I am reaaaally struggling to get a sense of belonging here. What should I expect?? Tia

I have a question about pricing. Some context to my upcoming question: My brother and I are starting a personal training business. I have six years military experience and he is still in the military. I don’t know weather we should charge on the higher spectrum because of our experience or lower because of our business infancy.

I have a business idea in the VR/AR space utilizing AI. However, I lack skill sets to evaluate viability or to create an MVP. Neither do I have a network to tap into.

My plan is taking classes to deepen my knowledge while joining and actively participating in communities to find collaborators.

Does this approach make sense or do you recommend other approaches? If it makes sense, do you have any recommendations for classes or communities?

Look forward to hearing your experiences and wisdom!

Do recruiters and Hiring Managers actually review and read resumes? Also tech companies that sell SaaS, what is it with the requirements of having 10 years or more if technical sales experience? Also the ramp up period is not realistic. Average sales cycle for a reputable SaaS provider is 12-24 months. How on earth a start up can state that their ramp up period is 90 days? The company hasn’t had any new sales either. Start up CEO’s… be realistic or seek enough funding to operate.
