My para shared it with me, but I have yet to try it. I'll try it out and let you know. There are many other games with reading on the screen that help with reading skills. My daughter reads her screen to follow her anime.
A student told me about it and made a presentation for me to show me how it works but I haven’t tried it with a group yet.
I tried Among Us with two of my classes today. In the first class it was a total hit. The kids who had turned in their homework got to play. The rest of the kids double timed it so they could join later. At the end of the game I posted a question in Google classroom asking for a list of vocabulary that I could front load for them. The second class is one that I struggle with anyway and wasn’t as successful. It was a lot of fun and most of the kids were begging to play again. I had see the chat to English and it was great to see everyone interaction and occasionally taking themselves off mute to shout out at someone. There was a lot of smiles and laughter too.... from me as well! Just the classroom camaraderie was enough to make me use it again. How often have we had that this school year? You can only have 4-10 players at a time, so I use both my phone and iPad
My ELs love it and I went to a virtual conference that discussed this. I learned about it from my own daughters...
I am lucky in that I service a low number of EL students so I never have over 10 players but I in your situation with a larger number of students I would maybe have alternate days or if you could virtually pair students ( not sure if that is an option since I have not had to explore it etc...). If I have an app or website where the kids can’t all play, I have options where I switch the kids. One group does a Quizlet practice while the other are playing together then swap eyczz
