I just got a new student who was placed in 6th grade. However, based on her age and schooling, she should be in 7th. I talked to her and she agrees. Have you ever advocated for a student to be placed in a differnt grade?

I tutor ESL after school and recently switched over to Zoom. Students are stating that they are unable to annotate. I’ve read that this is common for Chromebook users. Does anyone know of a way to bypass this and/or any video/picture tutorials? Otherwise, it looks like we’ll just have to add an additional open tab with a google share doc. So, I have 1 class of SLIFE students (Students with Limited or Interrupted Formal Ed). What are some good life skills to teach them to help them adapt? A lot of them will be able to work soon.
