Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.

Are you in the top 25%, middle 50% or bottom 25% of your current company in terms of performance and likability? If top 25% your job is pretty safe anywhere. Also if they’re threatening layoffs, is the company in a tight spot, or just made too many hires when business was good? If you took the new role, do you think you’d regret leaving after three months? Are they the same scope of work? Does one industry interest you more? All just things to think about
The one that pays less, definitely interest me more…like 100% more. Haha
I wouldn't like having a 40 minute commute, that is nearly 2 hours a day. Is it in the office 5 days a week? You have to remember that no job is really "stable" and any company can go through layoffs at any given time.
Very true…no job is stable. The commute is definitely something I have to think hard about.

That’s a tough one. It really comes down to what matters more to you right now, stability or flexibility and higher pay. Your current role looks better financially, especially with the promotion and remote setup, but that constant layoff risk can take a toll. If that stress is always in the back of your mind, the stability of the new role might be worth the trade-off.
