Worked on gigaproject side for like 3 years. And then when I got asked by my firm to rejoin consulting, I jumped on the opportunity. If you are considering KSA local work as your target end job, go for it. Else agree that it will kill yr future career, especially if you’re an expat who plans to return to EU or the US at some point.

Partly agree to that regarding the work pace and intensity, however having worked in both western and MEA markets most projects are more “serious” and clients systematically qualified and rational to judge yr work in mature markets so I can also somehow understand where the recruiters’ perspective come from.. it might take another generation until MEA work is being acknowledged
