I have completed a BBA in Hotel & Tourism and recently graduated with an MSc in International Management (2025). I am currently pursuing the CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management. As a fresher with no direct HR experience but transferable skills (teamwork, coordination, leadership), what entry-level HR roles should I target in the UK, and how can I improve my chances of securing interviews or gaining relevant experience? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

HR Assistant/Associate and coordinator are all typically good titles to look at. Be sure to check the job description. Some companies have very different responsibilities per the title. Highlight all those transferable skills in HR terms.

The job market is really rough right now. I would try to network and get referrals. Sometimes it isn't what you know, it is who you know. Best of luck to you.

I would target HR assistant, coordinator, or admin roles. I have seen many people break in through those and build from there.

Does anyone have suggestions for what a salary should be for a Digital Marketing Analyst | Paid Social & Performance Media? I have 1 year of experience, the job asks for 0-1 year of experience. I feel I over meet the qualifications in some areas and just meet them in others. The recruiter said 50k is the salary the company is offer. I know I can negotiate. What are your thoughts on what the salary should be?

One key selling point, as they are trying to offer is the opportunity to work one day a week to use for things like training, acquiring certifications or building applications that you are interested in.

This sounds amazing. I don't get that at my current job. So, is this too good to be true? I would like your opinion on this.
