Where are good companies to apply for to get into data science? My offer right now for data science in the big4 is only 66k and I definitely can’t go that low. Industrial engineering background with experience in analytics.

I think there's a lot of startups that might be worth looking into...but personally, I would go for the big 4 first and then exit out

Data science job descriptions tend to vary a lot. I would say compensation depends on what skill you know. 60k definitely sounds like lower end of the spectrum and is probably more of a business analyst job and assuming it doesn't expect you to know any programming language. It would be helpful if you share what you know and your experience.

Agree that you should probably aim for a smaller companies to start out. Get yourself a portfolio of awesome things you have built, put as much as you can on GitHub, maybe meet some people, and go back out on the market again.

Check the overtime laws for your state!!

I just recently worked 58.6 hours in a week, weekly pay, nice OT profit right? Depends on where you live.

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.

Hi everyone, I am getting ready for a job interview, and need to create a media plan. What I am very confused about is that they gave me Booked Impressions (=4M), but in the task it says I should assume there is unlimited inventory. Am I supposed to use this 4M only to calculate spend, ROAS, etc., but can actually have unlimited allocated impressions? Thank you!
