Not sure what to think of the state of tech, in terms of salary or stability. Cloud-based and AI companies specifically have been well off, and I think that’s what it’ll come down to: the niche you get into.

What is this wealth separation you're talking about? I'm curious to understand your perspective on this. I believe those bonuses are for high-performing employees, but I haven't heard of any layoffs in my company.
The rich certainly seem to be getting richer. Just look at all the recent Open AI headlines. They're offering every new hire a $1M signing bonus. It's insanity.
There are so many companies doing layoffs right now, mine included. I don't feel like I hear about huge bonuses in our industry but that doesn't mean they don't exist.
