I hope you are not tired of me posting my daily update for the CSPD2024 Conference. Day 3 was impressive. The organizers and sponsors have put together an incredible event. The organization of the event and the expertise of the speakers are over the top! Not counting the wonderful giveaways and goodies.

...when does the fun start? Currently doing recruiting and school 24/7 and a 2 hour Happy Hour catch-up with a classmate outside in the freezing cold means I will sleep 4 hours tonight instead of 6 hours because of the crushing amount of work to do.

I’m interviewing with several companies right now, going into final rounds next week.

I’m eligible for up to $8k bonus with my current company which gets paid out last week of December.

How do I buy more time so I can get my year end bonus?

I can really use some direction. My background, I've worked 2 years in strategy and am currently coming off an exhausting year 2 in investment banking. I didn't particularly enjoy either role and am not interested in moving over to the buy-side or some monotonous FP&A role. Everybody says there's exit-ops aplenty, but I find myself with less options and even more picky than I did as an ambitious T2 undergrad student. Where do I go from here?

I spend on avg $600-$700 eating out/drinks a month in NYC. Is that considered high? How much do you spend?

Hey all, having issues with interviewing this year. I’ve been passed over every opportunity I really want and I’m unsure how to regroup and move forward. I’m really trying to break into method development roles and I haven’t had the opportunity to do so with my analytical experience. A lot of my HPLC and LCMS experience is with already established methods. Any tips?
