I interviewed for a role I was qualified for in September and made it all the way to the final round. I came in second, but they were really nice about it, though. Now two months later, the hiring manager reached out, specifically mentioning upcoming changes on his team and wanting to know my availability. Should I be cautiously optimistic, or is this just a formality?

I would feel cautiously optimistic. Managers rarely circle back months later unless something real is changing. It might not be a guarantee, but it does suggest you made a strong impression. I would stay open without getting carried away.

Cool

That sounds like a positive development. You might as well get back to the hiring manager and give him an answer. I don't understand why it would be a formality. If they didn't hire you they don't owe you anything, so they'd presumably only get in touch if there was a real opportunity.

I would be positive about it. It's possible that something changed and they are looking to bring you on. You should definitely be cautiously optimistic.

Reaching back out is by no means a formality and shows genuine interest. You should be cautiously optimistic thst you are viewed as a top candidate.

I’d be positive about it, but I’d also ask for more information. Is there a reason this position opened up? Did the person they just hired tank or already quit? Maybe it’s a sign of a red flag, or they just loved you and someone just randomly left and they thought of you?! 😃

So, I landed a Customer Service Advisor job at Sitel in the UK. But I heard that they fire you without any prior notice or end their campaigns abruptly, leaving us with no job. Can’t be facing the risk of no livelihood, right? Can anyone who worked with Sitel give me the real truth? And does Sitel sponsor Tier 2 Visas as such? I am surely looking for stability, security and growth.

I started in my first SDR position in a small SaaS start up few months ago. I am the only SDR and their first ever.

I book an average of 3-5 demos per week. People always show up, but the thing that worries me is that I do not have a way to track how many meetings I book in our CRM,and to be honest I feel like I didn’t get the best training overall. Should I start looking somewhere else? Thoughts?

Thanks
