I just want to know how people actually start their own businesses. I have a lot of experience in the beauty industry, and I really want to find the courage to start something from home and eventually leave my job in banking. But honestly, I feel scared. There are so many “what ifs” in my mind. What if I fail? What if it doesn’t work out? I really want to be my own boss.

For those who have done it, what helped convince your mind and gave you the courage to start?

Here’s the thing, you just can’t start a business without a ton of research and preparation, and you need a business plan, no matter how small your business might be. Next, you have to figure out how you can start the business while still working because your business won’t bring in money for while and you’ll still need income.

That is a good suggestion. I have been researching for a while though and have a business plan as well but it is just the fear of getting failed. I guess I have to take risk if I want to succeed.

Most people start as a side job and then work their way up. I don't know many people at all who have completely quit their job before replacing their salary in whole or in part with their business. It's just too risky these days.
