I really enjoyed this piece. The contrast with sessions and Barr is stunning. I do think it’s a delicate and frankly thankless task to restore the credibility of the DoJ, but if anyone could do it, it’s him. Poor guy really should be on the court - of Mitch McConnell’s many sins, that’s an ugly one.

Oh please. If the Dems had the majority then they could’ve done it. It’s not a sin to exercise political power when you have it.
D1 - by any definition, it often is a sin to wield that power in the way McConnell has. He’s a sellout who follows the money to keep power. It is a sin if you take the biblical stories of abuses of power and it is a sin if you take the moral law approach. McConnell follows his own morality
