I have joined Accenture on April 22 & got selected in a project since then.
I suddenly heard that my project is rolling off few new joiners because of budget & I am one of them.
My first variable pay should be on Nov/Dec 2022. What will happen to that?

Never take that personal. These companies expect that you are going to hit the ground running and perform like the employee that you're covering for. When they realize they can't train somebody in the snap of a finger they will cut you and force other employees to pick up the slack. This is corporations More For Less mentality the sad part is that it will burn out the star employees. This is always a slap to the ego, I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, God is shutting that door for a better one to open. 😊
Yes, I had a similar type of job. I was with them for four weeks and because I didn’t learn the job fast enough I did the job but not as fast as they wanted they let me go.
One week after a pat on the back it's "adios?"
It ain't about you, something is going on under the radar, friend.
Like Sirena said, there's something better waiting for you, Chin up, one foot in front of the other, better days are close.
Unless you had a super bad attitude, this is not about you. I bet it's not even about your training. With the job market the way it is, most likely someone in an influential position is doing someone a favor by giving them the job you earned. Since you were only there 2 weeks and still in the probationary period, they knew they didn't have to give much reason with documentation. Stand strong in knowing that you are knowledgeable and are a quick learner. Do not allow this company hurt your self esteem in any way. They are in the wrong. Not you.
I was let go after 4 days. The job was very similar to one that I had worked for 12 years. Looking for a new job has been difficult as I am a senior.
Just understand one thing, it's a job! Next. Don't let these things seep under your skin trust me.
Had a similar experience but I was with company 6 years and was treated the same way... very little training, changed policy like I changed my clothes, toxic work environment. It is so true that God always got you. I was fired in February and my faith is stronger than ever.
Yeppp lol multiple times. I’m disabled as well as looking pretty queer.. And if you work for an at will employer.. 😬 that’s where it’s especially been problematic for me. I always get told I’m doing great then suddenly I’m getting fired with typically with no explanation as to why or it’s a shitty excuse. I feel like “at will employers” should be illegal because it’s a loophole around any protections workers have legally.
Oh wow, that’s awful. I’m so sorry that happened to you. Two weeks isn’t nearly enough time, especially if the training was inconsistent. That sounds like a management issue and not a reflection on you at all.
I know you’re angry, very angry. Especially when it’s blind sided like that. Just let this be ANOTHER reason to abandon the world of corporate America and learn a resourceful trade. No one can take a skill from you.. no ONE!
My nose wasn't brown enough, I was there ten weeks. Tons of pressure for A/P position.
I have the professional experience, I’m in Leicester, England
Wow where was it that you were working? That doesn't sounds like somewhere that I would want to be because that is insane. I am so sorry that happened to you. I have never had that experience but that is ridiculous honestly.
This sounds like every job I have had since returning to Florida. Florida, especially attorneys in this "at will" State take full advantage of not needing an excuse to fire anyone at any time. They can be as abusive as they want, say anything they want and the employee has no option but to take it and say "thank you sir, can I have another."
You will find a better job.
I applied for a job and I was told that I was to start asap and we agreed they would pay me a good salary . They went ahead amd forfeited on their agreement and behind my back hired someone internally. I was so pissed off and I then realized it's better that I didn't stay with the company because now I know what type of people work there .
So keep on aopying for a job. Don't give up. You wol.find the right job for you
I haven't had an experience quite like that, but honestly you are better off not working for a company that unwise and that unfair. It was probably because you asked questions and coworkers complained about it. That's unreasonable, but if you'd gone on working there, you'd be dealing with ridiculous expectations and selfish, intolerant coworkers. Even though the insult stings, they did you a favor.
You care enough to ask questions and whether you're getting it done right. There's a company out there that will value that.
A similar thing happened to me. I was there a total of two weeks and let go on day 10. I was told they thought my skills were better. The only task they gave me, other than attending two architectural meetings where I was told I provided valuable input was to find a good way to reverse engineer their existing AWS service infrastructure into a way that it may be spun up easily and efficiently if needed(migrating to other cloud providers possibly or stay on AWS as a backup). I used Terraformer to generate Terraform scripts(the current dev hadn’t even heard of those tools and used Bash scripts w/AWS CLI commands to build the original infrastructure. He didn’t even think to use AWS CloudFormations aparently). All was going well until mid of week 2. I couldn’t get a plugin to work correctly, so the other dev took another approach that worked but with other AWS services…then another manager looked over my shoulder for a day and a half and from that, I guess they felt my skills were inadequate. So…bottom line…a lot of times these companies want a rock star to come in, solve their current high priority problems in a couple of days w/o asking any questions or bothering them. And when you can’t, they fire you w/little feedback and don’t lose any sleep over it.
I dodged a bullet…sounds like you did as well. Shake it off, learn from the experience and find a better job! Good luck.
