I received an offer for a great senior management role within my current company. My current department requires a 4 week transition period before switching roles. However, I really feel that I need a week of time off to decompress my from current job and mentally prepare for the next one. Has anyone taken time off when starting a new internal position? How did you do it? Did you request time off from your current role or simply schedule a gap between your end date and start date? TIA!

Just taking the opportunity to get current. Sober 3 years and 10 months. This past couple weeks have been stressful and my mind slipped into fantasizing about my drug of choice. Last week I flipped out at some of my wife's family. I did an amends and I think time will heal this one. It's all up to HP. Although I have neglected my morning practice this week, I'm practicing self compassion with positive self talk.
