I say it will get better every year, and it gets worse. In theory, this job is excellent. Help people, catch bad guys, etc. In reality, you do very little of that. With a system that actively works against you, goalposts constantly changing, and becoming a scapegoat for everything and anything imaginable, why would anyone want to pursue this? Having to deal with death, abuse, and horrific and inhumane management. It never ends.
