That is difficult, but recruiters usually expect some bias from past managers. I would control the narrative early, be factual, and line up strong references who can directly counter any negative noise with evidence.

Thanks, guys. This might also be a bit far-fetched, but in case he has tarnished my reputation with recruiters, do recruiters have no call blacklist they share around with other industries ect??

Anyone here downshift in life post service?

Feel like I've been going full bore for the past decade and literally have no problem continuing the trend. Like I could just keep marking milestones and grinding or whatever until I die.

Wondering when if anyone else felt similar and decided to pull back and do something more relaxing. What was the catalyst, what are you doing, and are you enjoying it?

I'd considered taking up a 9-5 somewhere but not sure if thatd wear off fast.

Incoming AC at Bain, previously was deciding between Bain and McKinsey. But, ultimately chose Bain for the culture despite McKinsey being aligned with my professional goals of working in the government. I was looking on LinkedIn and didn’t find many people who are working in the White House after Bain, but found countless examples for McKinsey. Would it be difficult to try to transition to working in government after a few years at Bain? Any thoughts?
