The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?

Was this another creative like art director or copywriter? Either way, concept is king. As an art director, I’ve made very cool mockups and visuals for ideas for then only to be told that the idea sucks. We’re not here to make pretty pictures, we are to think of ideas.
Well said, mockups are a plus, concept is always king

Af lol
Are you saying that’s what beat your work in the meeting? You can use AI to make a bunch of comps to sell your concept too.
Agreed
I think there's still a huge value in the creativity and strategy we bring to the table. AI can help execute, but we’re the ones who can create the vision and understand the brand story in a way it never could.
Yea we command it to tell it what to do
So was their Idea better tho… you don’t need all of those visuals to sell it in. You can use words and a word doc to sell in a strong idea..
How you package and sell an idea is vital. The means do not matter. In this day and age coming out with solutions is more valuable than an idea in your head that only you can see. I get your point, my advice as someone who's been in the game for a while is not what you sell but how you sell it.
