I work in a hedge fund; but every month, I spend half the month making presentations that senior members of my team have to give to top management. These presentations are mostly about general group strategy and not about the market or investments. These strategy decks are major time drain and I spend 10-12 hours daily doing turns on these decks and collecting feedback from the team. Is this a common experience ? I’m worried I will lose whatever technical skills I have.

You have to do so much of it, and it's so annoying. You have to cite your sources, but there are so many different formats for citations! And then sometimes you don't even know how to cite something, and how are you supposed to know that unless you ask someone who knows? And even then, they might not be sure whether it should be an in-text citation or a footnote…
