I'm starting to grow concerned that so many auditors don't seem to know the difference between the UAE and Palestine, which are entirely different countries. One of which has a large history of war with Israel. One does not. One just signed a peace agreement with Israel, but it wasn't the one stuck in a decades long war. One constantly is under threat of having land annexed by Israel, but it isn't the one in the peace agreement, and Netanyahu has already said this agreement doesn't alter plans

How feasible is it to transition out of compliance into legal practice?

Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at an entertainment law firm prior to passing the bar. Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. That was 1.5 years ago and I am still in the limbo of juggling my own workload + doing assistant roles for my supervisors. I have also had no increase in pay, which is a huge deal for me. I interviewed at a law firm and had my final round last Friday. The Tuesday afterward, I got a call from the recruiter saying the firm won’t have a decision for another week. I believe they’re interviewing other candidates. Does that make me second or third choice? And does the fact that I’m working with a recruiter hurt my chances of being selected due to the commission?
