I've been fortunate to be in a high-paying position in the Los Angeles area and I rarely see comparable positions posted. The comparable positions at my company are filled by one of the big executive search firms. Job transition question: I recently accepted an offer for a new role with Merrill Lynch, the following day I was fired from my previous employer. I haven’t filled out the updated work history background check info yet. The reason for termination was due to performance expectations not being met. Should I reach out to my new employer and let them know that I’ve been terminated? Should I just put the termination update on the background check form and leave it at that? Cisco CTC - 16.2LPA , Fixed - 15.1LPA - Cisco TAC role.

Verizon data services llc - CTC 18LPA , Fixed - 16.1LPA

YOE - 6.5 Years
CCTC - 7.2 LPA
Tech - Networking and Security

Conflicted between both as I believe Cisco has a better brand value and great company to work for. But the offer from Verizon is competitive.

Is it a good idea to renegotiate with Cisco based on current offer from Verizon. Please share your thoughts.

I have an L3 Finance written offer from Google. TC $146k in Austin. It is a slight hit in my cash comp compared to my current role. Overall getting a 15% bump in terms of TC. I have tried my best to negotiate and at least match my current cash comp but doesn't look like there's a way they can meet it. My thought is to push for L4 in near term to get a good bump once I get in. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Thoughts on moving into more of a PMM role? I currently have 10 YOE of acquisition based marketing in financial products. I design, implement and track acquisition campaigns but I also work with our tech team and design new UX, acquisition channels and other enhancements.
