I honestly have no idea what you just said.
Most companies get alarmed if their employees engage in brawling, which is what this sounds like. While you didn't do it on company time, there is a concern that an altercation, whatever it was, could reflect badly on your employer. Some companies will fire people for things like that. You should make it clear that you were defending yourself (assuming that's true) and that you don't habitually get into scuffles in your off hours.
Your mistake was telling your supervisor about it. I get that you want be honest and give them a good reason for calling off but you gave them too much information. Anyway, a similar situation happened with a coworker and the boss just told her to get her personal issues under control and don't let it affect the business. Nothing happened to the coworker.
Why would you call your employer and tell them you got in a bar brawl in your off hours????
Are you in trouble with the law? Did you admit to the fight? How did your employer find out?
No trouble no actions on my part
