I’m about to be a second year and have a core utilization of 75% (adjusted 85%). Is this really low? Is it something I could potentially get fired for? No bad reviews, and the low utilization was due
A couple of months ago I was hired by Amazon as an Automation Engineer, but got fired after a week due to a positive drug test during the medical visit that is done during the first days. Any thoughts?
Can I be fired for refusing to travel right now? Don’t want to due to covid risk. Raised this concern but was told I might just have to anyways. Can they fire me if I just don’t go? I’ve said very clearly I will not go, and don’t think they’re going to accept that answer.
I’ve seen a dozen CDs try to engineer a turnaround at an agency, all of them failed and got fired. Has anyone been through a successful turnaround with a new CD? Were there any observable changes?
How do you roll with the punches? When I make even a small mistake that anyone could make my mind immediately goes to "well that's that, I'm getting fired"
I am an analyst. To be honest, I feel like I am sinking, and everyone knows it. I was not an Econ major in college (poly Sci) , and I am new to excel. However, I feel like I am constantly thrown into the deep end, and no one wants to help me, answer my questions, or help guide me through asks. I was under the impression that this would be a teaching environment. Worst feeling when you feel stupid, and you know that everyone else thinks you are stupid too. Will prob b fired.
How do I get off a project without potentially getting laid off? Joined the firm 3 months ago, but my project is terrible. I can’t sleep, work 60 hours, developing anxiety and low-key depression just thinking about my next day of work. How do I tell the manager/partner I want out? The client is very important to the firm. But Im done, there’s no other option. Please help, im really going crazy and can’t be there for another month.
Ratings on three projects - 3,2,2. Utilization - 90%... Proposal hours - 15... Firm activities - 43 hrs... I then get a YE rating of 4 😕 ... How worried I should be regarding the layoffs???
Brig evicted from current living situation since being laid off and not being able to pay rent. What are some options to explore for cheap renting while I look for unemployment? A friend suggested long term AirBnB but unsure how viable an option that is.
Being terminated as part of reorg. 13 years of service, consistently exceeded expectations. Officially considered partner. Package is 26 weeks of severance pay, two months "gardening leave", plus payout of long-term incentive. Would have preferred a more cooperative approach to voluntary retirement. Thoughts?
Folks who've been laid off before: how do you keep the anxiety from creeping in anytime you make even a small mistake at the new job? 🙁
Any USDC layoffs so far?
Anyone else hear that post-CRT partners will get fired this year in commercial advisory? How the hell does a partner get fired....
For firms where work is assigned through a coordinator, is the fact that you’re still consistently getting work an indicator that you at least won’t be fired soon?
Can you apply to a company you were fired from years ago? Has anyone had this experience?
I have awesome creative work from a client that has fallen into scandal. Specifically, they were a recently acquired beverage company who’s CEO was in a sexual scandal and then the company went into layoffs and rushed get more investor money to try to salvage the business. Needless to say, it didn’t work but the brand got sold to some super conglomerate. All this to say, do I put the good work in my portfolio? Do I keep it password protected? What would you do?
What does the Pwc final round interviews look like? Star method type questions, case study? This would be for technology/digital.
Thoughts on ad agency diversity data, now that it’s being released? “Across the entire (Havas) organization in the U.S., 6.11% of employees are Black, 10.8% are Hispanic or Latino and 9.66% are Asian.”
Does D revise salary down if you move to a lower CoL city? Moving from Chicago to Detroit for SO's school temporarily. Can I still be a part of the Chicago office if it's temp?

Any thoughts on Verizon? Have an offer for a lateral move from their internal consulting team, 10k more than I make now, but 20k less than what I’ll make next year at Accenture. Money isn’t everything though, so wanted to see what the culture and growth opps are like if anyone has any info?
Do any of you find you’ve been working more hours during WFH? How much work is too much? Where’s the fine line?
Recently made the jump from mostly insurance defense work where my average billable rate was around $225/hr. Now the average billable rate is probably about $450/hr. Would I be able to get away with my insurance defense billing practices. I was averaging about 2800/yr before. Would that be cool in big law?
