I work for a mid-market firm in Waco. Our governmental audit group is the largest department, as the work is obtained through bids. Each year, instead of funneling profits back through the firm, they give their managers large (i.e. 5 figure or close to it) bonuses, but other managers (with same workload, or more, might I add) get nothing and are told to "be frugal" with expenses. Is this how most accounting firms work or I am justified in being salty?
