I work in an hr dept that is very clicky and difficult at times. When I started I had literally no training but I knew what needed to be done. Now we have a new hr generalist starting and literally management is holding his hand every step of the way for 2 weeks. I think this is a bit excessive, and yes you provide him the tools to succeed but he does not need to shadow everyone for 2 weeks. What are your thoughts? I was told he can’t be by himself self. That’s rediculous.
