I work in audit at one of the Big 4. I am very lucky to still be able to work from home most of the time. But I am still overworked and there doesn’t seem to be enough time in the work day to get everything done, even in non-busy season times. My husband thinks that just because I work from home I could run downstairs at some point in the day to do some sort of meal prep for dinner. There is absolutely no way I could do that, especially not on a consistent basis. I’ve (continued in comments)

I think try pulling up your calendar on a typical week and talking him through your day.

(continuation) tried explaining this to him, but I still don’t think he really gets it. Please help me to get him to understand that this just isn’t a reasonable request. I would love to have time to do things like this, but as long as I remain in my current career (aka unless we win the lottery) it just doesn’t seem possible.
For context, we have 2 children, an 8 year old & an 18 month old, so life is very busy for both of us. He works in residential construction & often doesn’t find time in his day to eat, even when he brings lunch. So even if he was able to magically meal prep on the go, he also wouldn’t be able to find the time to do so during work.

I felt like a walking zombie during thanksgiving, barely eating and barely talking. My family is small and I told them ahead of time my relationship ended. I focused on my niece and nephews, cried when I wanted to and slept from 8pm-noon for the last 5 days. Showered once or twice. That’s the best I could do and that’s OK right now. I’m back in my apartment, just trying to take it one day at a time, and not re read his texts too much. My birthday is Thursday 🙄

I have been searching for a travel card for months. I am a young guy who is looking to take advantage of credit and earn points at the same time. Cap One just released an interesting new premium travel card with a lot of seemingly good perks (Venture X). I also looked at the CSP and the Southwest Priority card. My girlfriends family has Southwest and swear by it, with companion pass being the differentiator. I am in the DMV area and have mostly flown Jet Blue or Southwest. Any thoughts on this?
