Generally, no; however, if it’s within the same building of a unit they showed you, then yes. There may be some additional caveats (e.g., if they showed you a unit with a management company and being introduced to that management company helped you find a unit in a different building that is managed by that management company); however, that should all be spelled out in an agreement prior to them showing you things. If there was no signed agreement, it becomes more of a do the right thing (I.e. only pay them if you signed a lease for a unit they sent/showed you or within the same building)
If you have a broker showing you places and you sign a lease on one, do they split the broker fee with the landlord’s broker or do you pay a fee to each of them? (For both a fee & no-fee unit)
