What’s everyone’s thoughts on applying to several different positions within the same company? I’m looking at about 4 each with different focuses but mainly revolving around data analytics or entry level project analyst/coordinator. A friend of mine said it’s not a good look as it shows the company that you’re desperate. I really disagree, I feel it’s in your best interest to apply as many as you feel qualified for. Any thoughts?

I went to an interview at another investment bank. At the end of the interview the interviewer said "good luck" is that bad? Am I overthinking it?

I realized I've been a dummy for getting a job at a creative agency and not working on my portfolio. Most of the projects I've taken on, I've done so as a way to support others without taking much credit for it. Now, a better opportunity came along and I don't have anything to show for my talent as a designer. ALWAYS take credit for what you do, even if it's not your project to begin with.

I’ve been an LPN for 8 years, predominately in pediatrics, both in patient and home healthcare. I’ve worked in medical offices for 10+ years before that. People are soft now a days and don’t read the fine print of you’re an at-will employer - which means you can be let go for any reason with or without warning. The business owes you nothing and life is not fair. Stop complaining about who’s doing what, ranks, who’s voting for who, who likes you and who doesn’t, benefits at other firm compared to yours, this right and that right and ask yourself the last time you HELP yourself. The sun will come out tomorrow and no one really cares. Help yourself
