Eh, might depend on the firm but a lot of big 4 upped the pay so comp won’t be crazy different unless you plan on staying long term or want to jump to A&M. If you have goals to be more than an audit/tax accountant then FDD can open doors to other jobs (while not gaurenteed), so even if comp stays the same could be worth it depending on what you want long term. Also not as easy as just deciding you want to do FDD tho, likely that’ll you have to move to MM FDD
Yea that’s why I was saying unless you wanna stay long term. heavy SM can make like 300-350 so higher levels there’s obviously a big delta still

You should try - very few people regret the transition away from audit and those that do can have an easier time exiting the firm
Keep thinking more forward looking to try and identify what skills/ background you wanna build. Similar to what A1 said, I’m not sure how big the pay gap is between audit and advisory with the recent bumps.
